From road bikes, to disc brakes and fat tires, the Prologue is up to the challenge of getting your bike from point A to point B when you can't pedal it there yourself. The Prologue Fork Mount Rooftop Bicycle Carrier fits most disc and suspension combinations with standard nine millimeter axles. This bike carrier features the One-Key Lock system that locks both the bike to the carrier, and the carrier to your rooftop rack (please, note, locks are not included). The wheel tray fits tires up to 2.6 inches wide, and carries bicycles with wheelbases up to 48 inches. And the system fits both all Thule load bars, as well as most round bar rack systems.
Installation and UseThe Prologue is simple in design and features few moving parts, which makes it very easy to install and remove with only the included hex wrench and your own two hands. Installation begins with the combined Prologue head assembly / wheel tray which provide the base for securing a bike's forks (head assembly) and a stable mounting platform for you back tire (wheel tray). Following some simple preassembly to these components, including adding the frame fork skewer and the tray end cap, users have just to attach the head section and wheel tray to their rack's load bar with the hex wrench and included knobs, U-bolt, mounting plates and other hardware that allows for square or rounded cross bars. The Prologue is now ready for your bike.
